A Bass Guitar?! I thought this is a gaming Blog! What is this blasphemy??!
Ok calm down, before you jump to the above statements, let me explain (and make the world right again).
Meet Rin (Yes I named my bass, you got a problem with that?), she’s my new bass guitar. I got her because I always wanted to learn how to play a bass, and I have been learning for the last two to three weeks. Here’s the catch, I’m a complete beginner and I’ve been learning how to play a real bass though a game called Rocksmith.
At first I bought Rocksmith Guitar & Bass Edition for the ps3, later I learned the pc version (on steam) is better (less glitchy). So therefore I bought it over steam, and have been playing it ever since. (that kind of explains my disappearance…)
I have lend the ps3 version to a friend (along with an extra Real Tone Cable), so whenever I get that back I might upload pictures of those.
All I can say for this game is it’s pretty helpful, it makes practicing less dull… there are definitely some flaws with the game interface, so hopefully the upcoming title Rocksmith 2014 will be better. I thoroughly enjoy this game, and I feel like my skills are getting better.
So if you ever wanted to learn how to play a guitar or a bass, and is too cheap (or antisocial) to hire a teacher, why not give this game a go. It doesn’t teach you much about music theories and stuff like how to read tabs, but I think once you get better you can learn everything else on your own over the internet. It’s a great game to get you started, and after a while if you’re really interested, take the next step and improve… There’s really nothing much better then learning a new instrument at your own pace while having fun. Well too much rambling, I shall go play some more of this Rocksmith~
Until next time~
Before anyone stones me to death because I’m a hoarder, let’s play a little game called… Spot the difference!
Alright, have we calmed down? Yep these two are the same game but are from different regions.
I Imported a copy from Europe after hearing it’s out and how we in North America might not be getting it… a few months after (I think) due to Operation Rainfall, announcements were out and we were getting it. I ordered my copies from EB Games and received two art books for the two copies I ordered. I later sold the open copy I have and is left with one sealed one. SO, ya I guess you can go back to stoning me to death for being a hoarder.
This game was absolutely amazing, I personally think it’s the best game out for the Nintendo Wii. The music, gameplay, and art were all very well done. The story and the adventure was a blast. I loved exploring the world of Xenoblade Chronicles, and the quests definitely kept me very busy throughout the game. This game is a must play if you like RPG’s.
Ok the stones coming this way are getting bigger, so gotta run~
Until next time!
PETS! Always a sucker for pets and cute little creatures I am. Especially when you can train them and then pit them into battles with other creatures. Some people might complain that Monster Rancher, Digimon, and Jade Cocoon are all just knock off of Pokemon… Well Knock off or not, I don’t care as long as there are cute creatures to train~
Here is one Gem I found recently. When I first played Monster Rancher, I and my brother was sucked in by the packaging and promises of raising a monster. Our adventure began with Monster Rancher 3, where it later continued with Monster Rancher 4 and the EVO version.
This game was different when it request that we input these Saucers into the PS2 system… being little we didn’t quite understand what it wanted… until by accident we figured it out… We spend hours going through our games, music cds to look for cool monsters to train. Ah Fun times, my favourite has always been Zan. Wish I still had the files he was saved in… too bad the memory card containing the save filed has died..
Well I hope this new game is similar (especially with Zan), and eventually I’ll post the copy of Monster Rancher 3, 4, and EVO we still have.
Until Next time~
This awesome beauty came in today. I knew exactly what it was and almost didn’t want to take it out of the box. Well took me a whole afternoon to finally unbox it and “add” it to my collection (well I might’ve been busy, so no it didn’t take me several hours just to open the box).
This Fate/Extra CCC Virgin White Box Limited Edition came out in March, so why did it take me so long before I got it?
For starters… let’s just say I haven’t been a very dedicated fan and didn’t even know about this until two weeks ago… Once I did… I ordered… took around ten days to arrive and be merry with my life again. Well I was always merry but let’s just say Merrier…
The box looks awesome, the booklet looks crazy… and I love Saber.
Anyway going to stare at this until the next update. So Next!
Recently I came down with a sudden infection/illness called Bell’s Palsy… It’s the weirdest thing ever since you can’t move part of your face… In all honestly, I feel like two-face in batman for the last week…
So because of this, I took some time off work, and since then I have entered a state of procrastination… Well I have been productive… kind of.. just not on my blog… Hopefully I can turn that around… So let’s start with Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2, the second one in the series.
So… first of all… I see swimsuits.. and pretty drawn anime females… and familiar characters from the last game… Nothing too special came out with this limited edition.. A deck of cards, a soundtrack…. nothing unique or really outstanding…
As for the game, haven’t heard much about it… not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing… Well I’m not going to bother opening it up until I finish the first one… Sorry guys, might take a long while ._.;;
Well I’m going to take it easy and immerse myself in other hobbies, so until next time!
Going through a Nostalgic Phase… So old Game boy Pokemon Collection is found!
I can’t count the amount of times me and my brother beat pokemon fire and pokemon yellow in hopes of doing something different and catching mew. We avoid the boat leaving the dock so we can check out the truck…press the a button a few hundred times behind the truck… we avoid battles, tried a speed run, catched mewtwo with just normal pokeballs (saving the masterball for mew) etc…. Anyway in the end we still never caught it.
Now that walkthroughs on how to catch mew is all over the internet, I think I’ll go back to the game one day and catch him.. well when I have time, picked up a new hobby building models so I haven’t been spending much time gaming.
Well until next time!
Been wanting to play Fire Emblem on the Game boy advance (GBA) on the big screen… even though it was easy to track down the adapter… the most important ingredient for this setup to work (also the hardest to obtain)…. is the game boy player start-up disc…
Stupid design where the adapter only works if you have this disc in the gamecube….
Well I finally folded and order one off the internet. In a perfect world I would be happily replaying my fire emblem games and then moving on to other GBA or gameboy games I want to replay…
One Problem… my monitors don’t accept the standard AV cables… component cables only (I just realized this now). So instead of just playing my games out in the living room… I have decided to tread the harder path and just get a new TV monitor that accepts AV cables! What can I say, games are best play up front… something tells me I’ll never get back to those GBA games… Well off to hunt for a new TV…
So until next time guys!
How many of you still remember these things? Or better yet, how many of you still have yours? Well I’ve lost or thrown all mine away throughout the years. So imagine my surprise when I found this for 2 dollars yesterday. Yep in box Mint condition looks brand new for 2 dollars…. At least my Video Game hunt didn’t go completely fruitless yesterday.
The last one in the series I bought was the Tamer one… in fact, me and my brothers all had one… so we had all three colours. Those were fun times, sadly I think our parents threw them away after we stop playing with them…. Well I’ll take better care of this Digivice this time around.
I do like my Visual Novels… So here’s another good one. Trace Memory.
For those who don’t know, after the adventures in Trace Memory, the story picks up later 5(?) years later and it’s on the Wii… Why it never made it to North America? I don’t know… but I did import the game from Europe just so I can have it.
These two games are fun, and the puzzles aren’t very hard. The controls and game play are a bit frustrating at times though… The games are also very linear, nothing much after you complete them… despite all that I think you should still give them a try if you have the chance.
It’s been a while since I complete this story so, not going to comment much more on it… just because I don’t remember a lot of it :P….. Well I can’t help it if I have a bad memory… at least I had fun playing/living through that adventure… and that’s all that matters right? Have fun and enjoying the moment. Next!
I figure since I’ve been so busy with life, I should post a game that lets you live through a more country style life. So naturally harvest moon comes to mind. Here is Harvest Moon A/nother Wonderful Life.
Harvest Moon as it was could’ve gotten boring, but the company has been taking different fun aspects of the original game and expanding them separately on different titles, and honestly I like it. The same concept of the game gets renewed and has new add elements to it and if you like their approach on that game, then get it, if not you can simply skip it.
So as you can guess for these two titles they decided to focus on family, the farming and befriending the town is still part of the game but the marriage and watching your kid grow up is really where this game shines.
Yep, you get to pick a spouse, propose and get married, have a kid and watch the kid grow up into adulthood. A peaceful wonderful life with no regrets is waiting for you! Honestly I found the idea really interesting and fun when I was a Teen… now that I think back on it, it’s actually pretty silly. It’s fine though, there are always moments we all prefer escaping to the country side… and this game would do just fine.
Anyway, I’ll go back to pondering what I should put up next… Next!
